Hi, I'm Yebin, a Chinese graphic and media designer graduated from London College of Communication.

I enjoy projects which are creative, innovative, and interactive. In my opinion, though aesthetics is important, the context and creative ideas behind the works are indispensable, just like the skeleton which supports the flesh.

Mind Over Matter-Young people mental health campaign

The campaign is to raise people's awareness of mental states of their friends, families, and themselves. People can not only get themselves helped but also help others through this campaign.

The interactive installation (or a stroking simulator) is the main part of the campaign. The bigger pompom detects the direction of people's stroking, send it to the smaller pompom, and the smaller one repeat the stroking when somebody put their hand under it. Through the process, I want people to feel that communication between people is as easy as the interaction with cute, fluffy animals.

The posters are part of the campaign and to be put above the machine. Also, there are useful information cards provided for people who participate in the event.

Jet Wash Culture

The poster and moving image series are designed for a short season of events at the V&A, aiming to explore the ‘image of music’ and interrogate visual languages and design methodology of music, musicians and bands from four specific decades. I chose four unique cultures from the four ages. They are related to different music genre. I used the elements of them to design the system.

The moving images are designed for London underground DEPs.
